Working waterfronts have faced pressure from gentrification and tourist-ification for decades. However, in communities that prioritized them, we see the positive impact that working waterfronts have on the wider community, not just for jobs and revenue, but also as a living cultural heritage, and ironically, as a unique draw for tourists.
